An Alaska Scout Remembers WWII in the Aleutians

Drafin "Buck" Delkettie, shown here in family photos, began serving in the U.S. Army’s Alaska Scouts before World War II began. The Bristol Bay Times' headlines in the following articles state Mr. Delkettie is the last living Alaska Scout. Volunteers with the Alaska Veterans Memorial Museum have been in contact with at least four others as of the summer of 2007.
